Shanghai! How are you today?

Hiya,

We are now in Shanghai and it is super awesome. That little guy above is Cj7 and he has decided to come along with us on our Chinese holiday. Caitlin is clearly happy to have him around (I think she is using him as a replacement for Gizmo (our fat little kitten)).

Anyway, today started out pretty smoggy but before the sun set we saw the clearest, most blue sky we had seen since we have been in China. It makes you appreciate them (blue skies) much more once you begin to see them so infrequently...like... once in a blue sky day.

We did a bunch of stuff today that is probably boring for most of you so I'll shorten it to a quick yet informative and efficient list:

1. Woke up and went and had breakfast in an AWESOME 1920's themed blues and jazz bar. (Food was excellent and decor/atmosphere was really great)

They served the best carbonara I have ever had.

2. Walked along the super tourist walk along the river (similar to the one in Hong Kong)

This thing gave me a fright and made everyone crowd around after I put the money in...

3. Booked a boat cruise for the night time.

4. Walked along a massive mall/shopping street

Caitlin with some random Chinese noob in the mall.

5. Came home and watched the Titans v Storm game (poor poor Titans)

6. Briefly visited the Yu Garden shopping and heritage streets.

7. Went out on aforementioned boat cruise.

8. Had some MaoDongLao (McDonalds) for dinner and came home (You can take the boy out of Australia but you can't take the McDonalds out of the boy).

HAHA! I didn't even take this picture! Just goes to show that you don't need to travel to write a travel blog, just Google Image search and Blogger.com. Nice. Noobs.

I guess that list was a bit longer than expected...oh well. Righto....catch up with you noobs later!

Pauly

Edit: Ok. I'm not sure why but the movies don't seem to be working for some reason?? Oh well, if you get them working that's cool, if you didn't, they wern't uber spectactular so don't worry too much k ;)
